iGUARD
DIGITAL GENERATOR SET CONTROLLER

A breakthrough in genset control, iGUARD provides a full-featured and flexible solution for both electronic and conventional engine technologies.

Modern, electronically controlled generators use the SAE J1939 CANBUS standard for parameter measurement, engine control and data communication, while conventional engines continue to use discrete switch and analogue circuits. iGuard handles both engine types, providing a complete control and display solution, now and in the future.

Installer friendly:-

  • Quick-connect plug-in terminal blocks and 1/4" blade connectors (no screw terminals or soldering)
  • Integral high-power, replaceable relays, removing the need for slave relays in most applications: reduce your components, wiring and labour
  • Multiple AC configurations for hire sets (1, 2 or 3 phase, hi/lo voltage, wye/delta), selectable by switch input logic.

  • –40 to +85°C operating temperature (–20 to +80°C for display)
  • Supply voltage 8 - 35VDC, with blackout, brownout and overvolts

  • 600V multi-wire quick connectors, 1/4" blades on relay outputs

Inputs:

  • ECU engine data received via J1939 Canbus port
  • 24 x switch inputs (programmable)
  • 8 x analogue inputs (7 programmable, 1 dedicated for battery voltage)
  • AC voltage and current inputs: 1, 2 or 3 phase (with or without neutral),  switch input selection for hi/lo/wye/delta hire configurations
  • 1 x magnetic pickup speed input

Outputs:

  • 8 x field-replaceable form "C" relays, SPCO contacts, 20 Amp rating

Communications:-

  • 1 x SAE J1939 CANBUS port
  • 1 x RS232 port
  • 1 x RS485 port (Modbus RTU compatible)
  • 1 x RS232/RS485 port
