The SAE J1939 standard has been adopted by many manufacturers of electronically controlled engines and transmissions. J1939-enabled Engine Control Modules (ECMs) broadcast critical plant information over their CANbus (Controlled Area Network).
MurphyLink systems are able to read and display J1939 engine parameters, fault information and stored history, then display this data in operator-friendly terms. Engine data can also be re-broadcast to analogue-style gauges and alarm devices. MurphyLink components may be installed on your own equipment or provided as part of Murphy's standard or custom control panels. All MurphyLink modules are designed with outstanding reliability and environmental protection in mind.

CANdrive™ is a simple, economical device that converts J1939 engine data into outputs for driving standard electric gauges. The PowerView™ system includes J1939 displays and gauges with class-leading environmental specifications. Backlit LCD modules range from the compact PV101 up to the full colour VGA PV1000 and HelmView displays. All models provide operator friendly display of engine parameters and faults; display configuration and fault acknowledgement are set via large, touch-sensitive keys, eliminating switch contact wear. PVA or PVM series analogue gauges can be added for at-a-glance indication of key engine parameters; the gauges are connected to the PowerView™ display module via a simple RS485 link.
